Dominga is the Founder and President of the After School Arts Program (ASAP).
The After School Arts Program (ASAP) launched on line, in 2020 during the wake of the pandemic, as a creative incubator focused on amplifying and empowering the voices of historically marginalized youth through the power of filmmaking, reading, writing and communication arts.
ASAP prepares students for creative entry level job opportunities by developing their 21st Century skills, leadership and team building tools needed to succeed in creative industries, civic engagement and life after school. For more information: www.afterschoolartsprogram.com
During the summer of 2019, Dominga was invited to teach a leadership workshop for "MY LIFE MY CHOICE," a division of the Justice Resource Institute (JRI), the nation's leader in social justice, empowering survivors of human trafficking. She designed a film/writing curriculum entitled: "Find Your Voice Through Writing." The students, aged 12 to 22, learned to produce and direct a documentary in 10 weeks.
Production began in January 2020, and it was set to premiere at the Kennedy Center of Honors in July 2020. However, due to Covid-19, the film premiere transitioned online.
